The Ammo Combat boot in oiled oxblood leather is our tribute to Canadian service men and women and their proud tradition of protecting freedom around the world.

This heritage service boot draws inspiration from the "Ammo Boot" which was crafted by Hartt for the Canadian Military during World War II. We have refined the boot to increase comfort and wearability. The original Ammo Boot featured steel treads and a thick double leather sole, which was designed for the rigours of wartime Europe.

The Ammo Combat Boot was created to honour each step taken in the original Ammo Boot by our service men and women as they fought to liberate Europe and beyond. 

This boot is handcrafted using the finest European leathers and 270 degree Goodyear-welt construction. They are fully resoleable, and features a luxurious full grain leather calfskin lining.

Beautiful boots from an excellent Canadian company!

I originally purchased these beauties in a size 10D. My Brannock size is also a 10D. However, I wear my shoes and boots with custom orthotics because of Plantar fasciitis. Out of the box, these boots smell and look awesome. Including individual boot bags and shoe trees also made this purchase that much more worthwhile. When I first tried these on without my orthotics, they fit true to size and where very comfortable. but fit too tight with my orthotics inserted. So I had to return and exchange them for a size 10.5 D instead. Kenneth from Hartt Customer Service helped me with my exchange and I have to say that the experience with him was very professional and prompt. Sizing up to 10.5D really made a difference in comfort level with wearing custom orthotics. Thank you Hartt. I’m glad I purchased boots from Canadian company!

They are stellar!

I bought the Combat Boots in Oxblood and they are stellar. 4.5 out of 5 only because I haven't had them long enough to assess longevity.

The colour is vibrant and absolutely arresting visually to both me and admirers. The fit is comfortable and my initial long walks haven't left my feet uncomfortable and the break-in period is short to non-existent. I'm really happy to be supporting a Canadian company with history and it was one of the reasons I purchased them with so many other quality bootmakers in the field.

Initial quality is high and impressive. I appreciate the silk-lined bags provided with the boots for storage and the quality customer service which answered my questions prior to purchase. I'll check back for more of my footwear purchases. I'm glad I finally made the decision to purchase these and look forward to other releases.

New Boots

I have been wearing these ammo combat boots for 3 days now so I am early into the break in stage of ownership. I do a lot of walking during my work day and so far they are comfortable and I have not had any blister. I have noticed an improvement in fit after wearing them for 24 hours. I would recommend these boots to others.

Amazing Boots

These Ammo Combat Boots are super comfortable while providing an exceptional level of support. Was riding on the motorcycle all weekend with a previously sprained ankle and didn't feel any pain all day.
Strongly recommend for anyone who is looking for high quality footwear, or is just looking to turn some heads.
10/10 customer service that answered all my questions and directed me to the recommended products to protect my boots. Will definitely be looking to get another set in the future!
