The Ammo Combat boot in oiled oxblood leather is our tribute to Canadian service men and women and their proud tradition of protecting freedom around the world.

This heritage service boot draws inspiration from the "Ammo Boot" which was crafted by Hartt for the Canadian Military during World War II. We have refined the boot to increase comfort and wearability. The original Ammo Boot featured steel treads and a thick double leather sole, which was designed for the rigours of wartime Europe.

The Ammo Combat Boot was created to honour each step taken in the original Ammo Boot by our service men and women as they fought to liberate Europe and beyond. 

This boot is handcrafted using the finest European leathers and 270 degree Goodyear-welt construction. They are fully resoleable, and features a luxurious full grain leather calfskin lining.

Super nice boots!

What a pleasure it was to open the box when these boots arrived. The smell of quality leather and the first sight of these fine boots was amazing. They have exceeded my expectations in every way. I am a 9.5D in Grant Stones and a 9.5E in Truman’s and the size 10 Hartts fit perfectly.

Extremely pleased with the quality and craftmanship of the boots. I have always purchased in store to ensure quality and sizing however the boots fit very well and initial quality may be the best out of box. These are very nice-looking boots as well. Thank you.

I am not one to write reviews.But here I have to.......my first impression after unpacking....WOW. Best quality boots I had so far. Time will tell...

But .... UPS is prehistoric...... not the first time I had issues with them
4stars because of shipping issues 5 stars for boots.....happy trails

Hartt’s Boots for life!

I finally got to visit the new sales room in downtown Fredericton. Beautiful shop and exceptional customer service. Like their footwear, they just do everything a little bit better. I would say these are the nicest shoes I own but I now have multiple pairs of Hartt Shoes so my others may get jealous. Jokes aside, these are the highest quality footwear I’ve ever owned. I fully expect to have these incredibly well made boots for the rest of my life. Thank you to Andrew and staff for their incredible eye to detail. A step above the rest for sure.

Beautiful boots from an excellent Canadian company!

I originally purchased these beauties in a size 10D. My Brannock size is also a 10D. However, I wear my shoes and boots with custom orthotics because of Plantar fasciitis. Out of the box, these boots smell and look awesome. Including individual boot bags and shoe trees also made this purchase that much more worthwhile. When I first tried these on without my orthotics, they fit true to size and where very comfortable. but fit too tight with my orthotics inserted. So I had to return and exchange them for a size 10.5 D instead. Kenneth from Hartt Customer Service helped me with my exchange and I have to say that the experience with him was very professional and prompt. Sizing up to 10.5D really made a difference in comfort level with wearing custom orthotics. Thank you Hartt. I’m glad I purchased boots from Canadian company!
